To Whom it may concern,

The Melbourne Tigers would like to thank Greg and staff who organised and facilitated our recent pre-season trip and games in New Zealand against the NZ Breakers. Promo Sports were of great help and support with transportation, accommodation, meals and snacks, and important game time needs.

The travel guides greeted us everywhere and informed us about the rich lifestyle and culture of both the South and North Islands. Overall it was a great tour and as a travelling professional sporting team, the coaches, players, and staff would not hesitate to recommend Promo Sports to others considering a sporting tour of New Zealand.

Dear Greg

Thank you to the Promo Sports team for the recent opportunity to be the recipient charity of the pre-season SKYCITY NZ Breakers and Tigers dinner in Christchurch on 9 September.

A great evening was had by all! With a wonderful MC, SKYCITY NZ Breakers and  Tigers at each table, interviews with the SKYCITY NZ Breakers and Tigers, charity auctions, and the opportunity to hear from a recent wish recipient; the evening was a great success. In addition our wish children and young people attending the event very much appreciated the opportunity to meet with the SKYCITY NZ Breakers and Tigers and sharing the power of wishes.

Thank you for your support of Make-A-Wish®. The proceeds from the charity auction will go towards making a real difference for children or young people with life threatening medical conditions and bring much hope, strength and joy!

Best regards

Dear Promo Sports,

I would like to thank you for enabling some of the Skycity Breakers team (Kerron Johnson,Corey Webster and Community Partnerships Manager Hayden Allen) to come and visit the young people at Te Oranga Care and Protection Residence whilst they were in Christchurch.

The young people who reside here are between 12-16 years of age and live in this secure residence for 3-12months. Often their backgrounds have been very unsettled leading to extreme behaviour and they have no other safe place to live in the community. A number of the boys here are currently very obsessed with basketball; and opportunities such as these to meet such positive role models are really embraced.

The young people sat and listened as each of the visitors shared a personal story about their journey to where they are and what choices they had made along the way. The young people were very attentive as they absorbed their wise words. The players then spent some time in the basketball courtyard with the boys giving them some tips on their basketball and shooting some hoops.

One young person said a thank you speech to the visitors and spoke of how he had learnt that you do not have to have a good background to succeed in life. He also spoke of how he feels inspired to practise more and that he can see that you can become anything or anyone if you put your mind to it.

The day was completed by the four boys with the best behaviour over the past several weeks attending the game at CBS arena with staff. They were so excited and proud to be watching the players that had spent some time with earlier in the day.

It is hard to express what value this opportunity has had for some of our young people here at Te Oranga. I can only thank you for making this happen and show our appreciation for the contribution this visit has had for helping our young people realize that they to have the opportunity and ability to reach their full potential.

Kind Regards,

Paula Grooby

Dear Greg

I am writing to thank you and Promo Sports so very much for the outstanding support you have shown for the NZ Breakers Game held here in Christchurch.

We had a guy in the Burwood Spinal Unit by the name of Nathan O’Reilly who was an NZ age-group representative basketball player who had a bleed in his spinal cord resulting in a serious paralysis of all four of his limbs.  Nathan is a mad keen basketballer and he was itching to get to the Game.

You came to the party for Nathan, not only with tickets to the game, but also for courtside passes for the Breakers training and also for after the game.  You also brought Pero Cameron out to the Spinal Unit to visit Nathan – a moment in time that Nathan treasures greatly

Not only this, but you managed to source 10 x $10 tickets for people in wheelchairs.  These were snapped up in no time and enabled 10 people and their carers to come and enjoy the Breakers in action.

Greg, you went way above and beyond the call for what was originally a simple request to see if we could get Nathan to the game.  For this we are blown away and incredibly grateful for your generosity.

It goes to show that you truly and genuinely care for people who are facing tough times.  You and your Promo Sports Team were very helpful.

Thank you once again – it is very much appreciated.

Kind regards
Ben Lucas

I am writing to thank you greatly for the discounted tickets that we received to the recent Breakers Game in Christchurch.

Thanks to your support, we were able to take both of the South New Brighton Primary School Basketball teams to go and see the Breakers Game. This opportunity was a huge highlight of the season for all that made it, for most of them this was their first professional basketball game they've gone to watch.

From all the basketball team players, parents, South New Brighton School and Youth Alive Trust thanks so much for your support, it really has been greatly appreciated!

Dear Greg

Waimairi School PTA’s Starz 2013 recently was a huge success for our community. We have had some wonderful feedback from those who attended the event that it’s easy to recognise why Starz has become such a successful night on the school’s calendar! With all of the financials finalised, the profit made from this night is at $17,000 – that’s an amazing boost to Waimairi Primary and the resources we will be able to implement into school life!

All of this is not made possible without the very generous donations and offers of help that we receive from businesses such as yours. This year your donation of 10 tickets to the Sky City Breakers, and a signed singlet was very generous, and we are extremely grateful for the contribution you made. THANK YOU!!!

Starz 2014 is on the radar already. We would be delighted to continue our partnership with you and will be in touch with you once planning is under way next year.

Thank you again for your support of this night, it’s very much appreciated by the whole of the Waimairi School community.

Kind Regards

Fiona Smith

It is with great pleasure that I report about our recent tour of the south island organised and facilitated through Promo sports.

As a professional basketball team our athletes have specific needs in terms of preparing to give the best possible performance and with the help of Promo sports we were able to meet all our player’s needs, participating in a successful pre-season tour against NBL Champions the New Zealand Breakers.

The food was of an exceptional standard and followed every one of our healthy eating guidelines as set out by our sports nutritionist. The travel was well organised and educational, Promo Sports offered highly experienced travel guides who not only developed a very good rapport with our travel party but also taught us many things about the South Island and New Zealand culture.

Our accommodation was first class and no effort was spared to make all our players feel at home and comfortable on the road. It is without a doubt that this was the best tour we have been on as a professional sporting team and would not hesitate to recommend Promo sports for other sporting groups considering traveling around the south Island.

Yours Sincerely

Hi Greg,

We would like to convey the appreciation of South Canterbury Basketball members and all the Primary Schools who attended the Breakers session in Timaru.  Seldom does such a high profile group make the effort to come to Timaru and thanks to Promo Sports the day was an awesome success. The 1000 school children in attendance, their teachers and our members have since been singing the praises and have appreciated the opportunity to see the Breakers as the highlight of their year.

Capping the day off with the corporate lunch and interaction with the team members and coaching staff certainly had those in attendance wanting to see more and raised some well needed funds for our junior programme.

Once again thank you for all your work and effort with the Breakers and for your support of South Canterbury Basketball.

Kind regards

Dear Greg,
I’m writing to express our thanks for your assistance with our recent competition that we ran on What Now to win some of 100 tickets to the recent New Zealand Breakers game in Christchurch in association with Promo Sports.

Dillon Boucher was also a great addition to the show, and our viewers always love to see and hear from their sporting heroes, so again, thank you so much for arranging that for us.

We would love to have the opportunity to work again with Promo Sports in the future to provide unique and inspiring prize options to the children of New Zealand.

Dear Greg

Thank you very much for your generous gift of 30 tickets to CanTeen Canterbury for the Breakers game.

Support for our members makes a significant difference to our organisation, enabling CanTeen to offer young people living with cancer in our community either as patient, sibling or bereaved sibling, ongoing empowerment and psychosocial support.

As the only organisation in our community that is dedicated to supporting young people living with cancer there is a very real need for our high quality educational and recreational programmes, peer support opportunities and member support services.

With your generous gift we are able to take 30 members to the Breakers game and know we can focus on the job at hand - supporting, developing and empowering young people aged 13-24 living with cancer in our community, including those who are at risk, disabled and/or isolated.

On behalf of our organisation, including our members and their families, thank you very much for your valuable contribution which will help ensure we are able to meet the demands and needs of our special young members during a very trying time.

Kind regards,

Dear Greg

On behalf of the Canterbury Earthquake Children’s Trust we would like to pass on our thanks and gratitude to you and the Breakers for your generous donation of tickets to this much anticipated event.

This is a wonderful opportunity for the beneficiaries of the Canterbury Earthquake Children’s Trust to attend this much anticipated game.  Its great to be able to offer them the opportunity for positive fun experience and this type of generosity is exactly the reason we established the Trust.  To do what we can for these children

Thank you!!!

Kind regards

The Canterbury Earthquake Children’s Trust was established as a registered charitable Trust in June 2011 for the specific purpose of helping the children who lost a parent in the February 22nd Canterbury Earthquake.

The Trust recipients are those affected children under the age of 20 (at time of fund allocation) and it is the Trusts vision to help these children achieve their potential by providing assistance with education and helping to ease financial burdens placed upon the family from this tragedy.

Your recent donation to the Trust was very much appreciated and without support from businesses like Promosports we would not be able to offer the assistance we can to these families.  Thanks also to Tom Abercrombie from the Skycity NZ Breakers for donating his time to have lunch with the winning bidders.

Kind Regards

Hi Greg

On behalf of Basketball mid Canterbury I am writing to thank you for your effort to make the Clinic happen

What a great day for the kids - and didn't they enjoy it

I kept on making the comment - wish the local school teachers were her - when Dillon and C.J. were talking - you could hear a pin drop - all were so awestruck - no one talking and no one moving at all

This was indeed a credit to your organisation and to a lesser extent the selected kids

Friday night was a great event and enjoyed by all and no doubt Jan pre arranged for the  two Boys to go to the Netball Court for some more local PR which was still being talked about yesterday

Greg please pass on our sincere thanks to Dillon and C.J. for not only the promotion of the Breakers but for the game of Basketball

We cannot thank you enough

Yours in Basketball
